Hooked On Wrestling’s Guide To AEW All In 2023 Weekend In London

We are now mere weeks away from AEW All In 2023 taking place in London at Wembley Stadium.

It is going to be the biggest wrestling event ever to take place in Europe and we wanted to produce a handy guide for everyone heading down to London for the weekend.

This guide will cover events, getting around and other things to do in London for wrestling enthusiasts that weekend. We want this to be as comprehensive as possible so if we have missed anything, let us know by emailing us here. If we think it will be useful for fans in general we will add it to our guide.

When Does AEW All In 2023 Start?

AEW All In 2023 will kick off on Sunday 27th August at 6PM UK time at Wembley Stadium.

I Need Tickets To AEW All In 2023. Where Do I Get Them?

Whilst ticket sales have been immense, the sheer size of Wembley Stadium means that availability is still good. You can browse all sorts of tickets at Ticketmaster.

Getting To Wembley Stadium

Firstly, if you are coming from Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool or Manchester then you need to check out Wrestle Bus. Hosted luxury coaches directly from these cities to the stadium and back. Tickets are limited so no time to waste.

For those spending the weekend in London and not familiar with the city, here’s some help. Firstly….Wembley Stadium’s location. It is NOT in Central London so it important you give yourselves plenty of time to travel. Whilst taxis are an option (An expensive one!), there are two favoured ways of travelling to the stadium. You can also consult the live journey planner on TFL.Gov.UK. As you can imagine, the sheer volume of people travelling means we urge you to arrive earlier for the least stressful journey.

  • London Underground: Wembley Stadium is mainly served by Wembley Park station.. This can be found on the Jubilee Line (Silver) and Metropolitan Line (Purple). Both go from various central London locations but be warned, the Metropolitan Line is significantly quicker as there are less stops between the city and the stadium so get that one if you can. Alternatively, you can travel to another nearby station, Wembley Central on the Bakerloo (Brown) line. Wembley Central is a bit further away from the stadium but it is walkable.

  • London Overground: By far the quickest public transport option from the city centre is the Chiltern Railways train from Marylebone station. It takes just 9 minutes and drops you at Wembley Stadium station which is right next to the stadium itself. Other trains go to and from Wembley Central to various London stations but check availability before travel as some of these trains will not be running over All In weekend.

Getting Back From Wembley Stadium After AEW All In 2023

There’s no way of sugar coating this…It isn’t fun. 90,000 people all leaving a stadium at once is slow, busy and can be stressful if you are not comfortable in big crowds. If you can, be patient and understand the crowds are well marshalled. You will get to the station you need to get to in time but it won’t be quick. If stopping for a post-event drink at BOXPARK or another venue whilst the crowds ease, that’s always a good idea.

Getting Around London

Familiarise yourself with the London Underground map as it will get you anywhere you want to go. Keep an eye out for closures on the Saturday though as some lines do close for repairs at weekends. Buses are also an option around London if you are confident enough in where to get on and off. Another option….Get those steps in. Many places in the centre are closer than you think so always best to consult Google Maps to compare travel times on foot and by tube. For instance, it is famously quicker to walk between Covent Garden and Leicester Square than it is to get the tube.

Ubers are also plentiful in London through the day and night. Obviously exercise caution when travelling in private vehicles, as you would at any time.

How Do I Pay For Public Transport In London?

For those not used to getting around London, paying could not be simpler. Simply use your contactless debit or credit card to tap in and out on your chosen journey and the cheapest fare will be calculated for you. At the end of the day, the system will even calculate if you would have been better buying a day travelcard and if so, it will refund the difference. It really is great. You can use this for all transport in London but a couple of things to note:

  • Whilst most tube stations have barriers forcing you to tap out, the DLR (Light railway in East London) and some non-central Tube stations will not have barriers. On these platforms it is crucial you find the terminals (With yellow or pink pads) to tap out at the end of your journey. If you don’t. you will pay through the nose for a penalty fare. Be warned!

  • If going via Uber Boat, you can tap in and out on the piers or pre-purchase tickets from the Uber app.

  • If you are taking a bus, you only have to tap in at the start of the journey. No need to tap out at the end.
